Images shot by Claus Morgenstern (1-3), Salima Kehr (4)

Here are a few impressions from yesterday’s BFF (Association of Freelance Photographers) exhibition in Düsseldorf’s “Boui Boui Bilk” hall, a former screw manufactory.

For this event we came up with an extraordinary way to present the images. Contrary to a static hang each photographer’s work was presented by an assistant, fully dressed in a black lycra, carrying two small billboards attached to a supporting structure. In a slightly choreographed way these living billboards changed their positions in the exhibition room repeatedly during the evening, resulting in a constantly changing hang.

With the arrival of more and more visitors during the course of the evening at one point the space got too overcrowded so that the assistants were relieved from the weight carried on their shoulders and stands were used for the placement of the pictures.

Apart from a great party and the enormous attention we received, the BFF also presented its latest showreel with the work of their members within Nordrhein-westfalen.
